Happy Family was premiered on NBC from September 9, 2003 until April 20, 2004. It starred John Larroquette as Peter and Christine Baranski as Annie Brennan. They were Philadelphia couple experiencing various problems with their three adult children. Their youngest son Tim, who is graduating junior student, moved with the older woman-next-door who is his mom tennis partner, Maggie. Their eldest, Todd who is the favorite of of their dad and engaged to a great girl which is also having affair with another girl. And their daughter Sara, who has successful career but cannot find a man and instead socialized with her parrot.

The two couples was trying to maintain a happy family image, but they end up involved with their kids problems.
