Freddy's Nightmares DVD

Freddy's Nightmares, sometimes referred to as Freddy's Nightmares: A nightmare on Elm Street the Series, was an American anthology series based on the Nightmare on Elm Street films. The show was hosted by Freddy Krueger himself played by Robert Englund where in he tells of different stories of dark or grim nature that took place in the fictional town of Springwood in Ohio, particularly Elm Street. Most of the stories did not involve Krueger directly and even though he occasionally plays a part in them, his participation is very minimal - though at times enough to indirectly influence the plot of the story.

Some notable actors featured in the show included Sarah Buxtom, Lori Petty, Eva LaRue, John Cameron Mitchell and Brad Pitt. Freddy's Nightmares ran for two seasons from October 9, 1988 to March 10, 1990. It was cancelled after only 44 episodes, due to viewer's complaints regarding violence in the series.
